The agreement between us

These terms govern your use of ABC of Money. Read them once properly and you will not need to read them again, because they are short sections written in ordinary language.

Last updated 26 September 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, downloading the application or using this website, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy, which forms part of them.

If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter a contract in your country to use ABC of Money, and you must be at least the age of majority where you live.

2. What the service is

ABC of Money is a personal finance tool. It helps you record income and expenses, build a budget, track savings goals, understand your debts and take financial literacy courses.

The application includes an automated insight feature that summarises your position in plain language, and a help assistant that answers product questions and can hand you to a human agent when needed.

3. It is not financial advice

This is the most important clause in these terms. ABC of Money provides calculations and general educational content. It does not provide regulated financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, and no relationship of adviser and client arises from your use of it.

Payoff dates, interest figures, forecasts and milestone projections are estimates computed from the numbers you enter. They assume those numbers are accurate and that rates and payments behave as you have described. Real results will differ.

Before making a significant financial decision, speak to a qualified professional who can consider your full circumstances.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that happens through your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access.

  • Provide accurate information and keep your e-mail address current, since it is how we reach you for security notices.
  • Use a unique password you do not reuse elsewhere.
  • Do not share your account or allow another person to act under it unless their use falls within a family workspace invitation you have issued.
  • Do not create an account for someone else without their permission.
  • One account per person is expected; duplicate accounts used to bypass limits may be suspended.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. The following are prohibited:

  • Breaking the law, or encouraging anyone else to do so.
  • Posting content in the community that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, fraudulent, or that infringes another person's rights.
  • Advertising, spam or unsolicited promotion in community spaces.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any account, system or data, or probing our security.
  • Reverse engineering, scraping or copying the service except where the law expressly allows it.
  • Interfering with the service, including overloading, introducing malware or disrupting other users' experience.
  • Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation with any organisation.
  • Entering financial data you are not authorised to use, or deliberately falsifying figures to mislead other members of a shared workspace.

6. Your content and licence

You keep ownership of everything you enter - budgets, notes, goals, community posts and support messages. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely to operate the service for you and, where you post publicly in the community, to show it to other members.

You are responsible for having the rights to anything you submit. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject only to copies already shared with other users and to the retention periods described in our privacy policy.

Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.

7. Community contributions

Community posts are visible to other members of the community. Do not post personal financial details, account numbers or anything you would not want a stranger to read.

We may remove content and restrict accounts that break these terms or the community guidelines shown in the app, and we keep a record of moderation actions so decisions can be reviewed.

8. Family workspaces

When you invite someone to a family workspace you choose their access level: view only, can contribute or full access. Members at each level can do only what that level allows, and the owner can change or revoke access at any time.

Invitations expire after seven days. You are responsible for the people you invite and for removing access when it is no longer appropriate.

9. Fees, trials and payment

Core features are free unless a screen clearly states otherwise. If a paid plan or optional purchase is offered, the price, billing period and what is included will be shown before you confirm.

App store purchases are handled by the relevant store and are subject to its refund policy as well as these terms. Where a renewal is automatic, we will tell you before it happens and you can cancel from your store account.

We may change pricing going forward with at least thirty days' notice, and a change will not affect a period you have already paid for.

10. Third-party services

The application links to external services such as app stores, video hosts and payment providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service reliable but it is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Maintenance, updates and events outside our control may interrupt access.

We may add, change or remove features at any time. If a change materially reduces a feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ABC of Money and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or anticipated savings arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars if you have paid nothing.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion revokes access immediately and removes your record on the retention schedule described in our privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect other users and the service. Where the breach is fixable we will normally tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

Clauses that by their nature should survive termination - including ownership, licences, disclaimers and liability limits - continue after your account closes.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law rules.

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

Before starting any legal process, both sides agree to attempt good-faith resolution by contacting us through the support form.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the support form on this site or to support@abcofmoney.com. We aim to respond within one working day.

Please note: ABC of Money calculates and explains. It does not provide regulated financial advice, and every figure it produces depends on the numbers you enter. For a decision with real consequences, speak to a qualified professional.
